Abstract

The research was conducted to study the concept of seven famous Qira’at in particular and of entire Qira’at in general. It discussed the bases of seven Ahruf and highlighted the relevance, differences between them and authentic Qira’at.

The research analyzed the role and contribution of the Qira’at to other Islamic and |Arabic sciences with particular reference to the implication of the seven famous Qira’at on Qur’anic exegesis, by citing some examples related to that.

Furthermore, it displayed the important position that has occupied by the Qira’at in Islamic jurisprudence and Arabic literature.

The fundamental objectives behind the permission of reciting the Glorious Qur’an in multiple ways are presented by this research. The research has examined the concept of shaddh Qira’at and talked about the mistreatment of some Qira’at by some Arab grammarians.
