POLAC Admission Requirements

1. Candidates for admission to the Academy must be Nigerian citizens, between the ages of 17 and 22, and have a height of at least 1.67 metres (5 feet 6 inches) for males and 1.62 metres (5 feet 4 inches) for females.

Also, male candidates must also have an increased chest size of at least 86cm (34 inches for those between 21 and 22 years of age). Any physical deformity or mental handicap must be absent in all candidates.

2. Candidates must have received a minimum of SIX (6) credit passes on the West African Examinations Council‘s Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) (WAEC),

3. Only two sittings are allowed. Which is the National Examinations Council (NECO) or the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB). Also, all candidates should have the subject combination of credit passes in English Language and Mathematics, as well as other disciplines relevant to their Academy course of study.

4. Candidates must also complete physical and psychological fitness exams and receive satisfactory grades on both the written and oral examinations.

5. Candidates must have a minimum cut off mark of 180 on the JAMB UTME examination.

6. Candidates must take the POLAC screening examination and perform very well in it (Depending on the study)

7. For admission to POLAC, just ONE sitting result is accepted.

8. Candidates must select the appropriate subject mix for their courses.
