– Change of Institution –

Have you been searching for ways to do your change of Institution or course? Do you want to make some changes and corrections to your JAMB profile? If yes, you will find this information useful.

Change of Institution

The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) is a Nigerian tertiary admissions and matriculations board.

Also, the board administers the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, which is required of all prospective undergraduates applying to Nigerian universities.

In Addition, the board is also in charge of administering equivalent exams to applicants to Nigeria’s public and private polytechnics, and colleges of education.

Also, the goal of the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) is to assess applicants’ talents and decide their aptitude for higher education.

JAMB Change of Institution/Course 2022

This is to inform all candidates who took the JAMB UTME in 2021 that changing JAMB courses and/or institutions for the 2021/2022 Academic Session has begun.

Furthermore, the change of institution and course option got introduced to allow JAMB candidates who already know their UTME scores and have verified the cut-off marks of their preferred institutions to change their course and institution choices based on their UTME results.

However, if you got less than 180 on the JAMB 2021 Examination and applied to a competitive institution such as the University of Ilorin, UNILORIN, or the University of Benin, UNIBEN, you can now apply to a less competitive institution to improve your chances of admission.

Also, if you choose a popular/competitive subject, such as Surgery & Medicine, Accounting, etc., and had a score of 199 or lower, you should seriously consider changing ‌courses and/or institutions.

Also, note that Candidates who want to change their course or institution, or correct any of their data, should know the process can only be done only twice, according to the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Why Should JAMB Candidates Change Institutions/Courses?

Candidates apply for JAMB change of course/institutions every year for a variety of reasons. However, the top on the list is a low UTME score; which may not be up to the school’s cut-off marks.

In addition, other reasons candidates change their courses and institutions are incomplete O’ level results, problems during registration, or even change of mind about the institution or courses previously picked.
