LAUTECH (Ladoke Akintola University of Technology) is a Nigerian tertiary institution in Ogbomosho, Oyo State. The institution has around 30,000 students enrolled and employs over 3,000 people, including contract workers.
In addition, Governor Adetunji Olurin, the then-military governor of Oyo State received a request from the Governing Council of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, in 1987 to establish a State University.

Nigeria’s federal military administration has granted the State’s request on March 13, 1990. Colonel Sasaenia Oresanya signed the order establishing the Oyo State University of Technology on April 23, 1990.
Interestingly, nearly 30,000 students attend the institution, which is divided into seven faculties and a college. LAUTECH also accepts over 150 JUPEB Direct Entry students into 200/Level each year.
The Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) selected LAUTECH as the finest state institution among universities in Nigeria for two consecutive seasons, in 2003 and 2004.
Meanwhile, the main campus is located in the state of Oyo. The administration of the university, as well as six faculties and the post-graduate school, are all located on this campus.

LAUTECH Admissions Requirements 2022
Admission to a LAUTECH Undergraduate Program is based on one of two entry methods: UTME or Direct Entry.
LAUTECH Post UTME Admission Requirements
UTME candidates must achieve the following conditions in order to be admitted to the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology in 2022/2023:
1. Candidates must be at least 16 years old.
2. Candidates must have a minimum of six (six) “Cs (Credits)” in their O’level results (s). 3. This must include English Language, Mathematics, and three other topics relevant to their programme. A candidate who wishes to study law, for example, must have a “C” in English Language, Mathematics, Government/History, Economics, and English Literature.
3. Candidates must have a minimum score of 170 on the JAMB UTME exam.
4. Candidates must take the LAUTECH post-UTME screening examination and pass it with flying colours (Depending on study)
5. For admission to the University of Technology, only ONE sitting result is accepted (LAUTECH)
6. Candidates must select the appropriate subject mix for their courses.
7. Finally, in order to be admitted to the institution, candidates must achieve the required cutoff marks for their courses.
LAUTECH Direct Entry Admission Requirements
Candidates who seek to enter the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) through direct entry must complete the following requirements:
1. Candidates must have a minimum of five (5) credits in their O’level results to be considered. This must contain English as a second language and math. Two sitting results are not permitted.
2. Candidates must also be at least 16 years old.
3. Candidates are expected to get a JAMB Directly entry form from JAMB to apply.
4. Candidates should have any of the following certificates: OND, ND, NCE, IJMB, Cambridge A level, BSc, HND, ICAN
