The Cross River State University of Technology (CRUTECH) is a state-owned postsecondary school with four campuses scattered across the state’s four Local Government Areas.
The Vice-Office, Chancellor’s Deputy Vice-Office, Chancellor’s and the Bursar’s Office are all on the Calabar Campus, which is the Institution’s main campus.
Interestingly, the university is in the Calabar South Local Government Area of Cross River State in Southern Nigeria. Also, the University laid its foundation in 2002 by the then-Governor, Mr Donald Duke.
This was followed by the merging of three higher education institutions: the Polytechnic of Calabar, the College of Education, and the Ibrahim Babangida College of Agriculture.
Meanwhile, the university provides undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs. Calabar, Obubra, Ogoja, and Okuku are among the university’s present campuses.
In addition, the National Universities Commission (NUC) of Nigeria has officially certified and/or recognized Cross River State University of Technology.

CRUTECH Admissions Requirements
Admission to a CRUTECH Undergraduate Program is based on one of two entry methods: UTME or Direct Entry.
UTME candidates must achieve the following standards in order to be admitted to the Cross Rivier University of Technology in 2022:
1. Candidates must be at least 16 years old.
2. Candidates must have a minimum of six (six) “Cs (Credits)” in their O’level results (s). This must include English Language, Mathematics, and three other topics relevant to their program. A candidate who wishes to study law, for example, must have a “C” in English Language, Mathematics, Government/History, Economics, and English Literature.
3. Candidates must have a minimum score of 160 on the JAMB UTME exam.
4. Candidates must take the CRUTECH post-UTME screening examination and pass it with flying colours (Depending on the course of study)
5. For admission to the Cross Rivier University of Technology, only ONE sitting result is accepted (CRUTECH)
6. Candidates must select the appropriate subject mix for their courses.
7. Finally, in order to be admitted to the institution, candidates must achieve the required cutoff marks for their courses.
CRUTECH Direct Entry Admissions Requirements
Candidates who seek to enter the Cross Rivier University of Technology (CRUTECH) through direct entry must complete the following requirements:
1. Candidates must have a minimum of five (5) credits in their O’level results to be considered. This must contain English as a second language as well as math. Two sitting results, on the other hand, are not permitted.
2. Candidates must also be at least 16 years old.
2. To apply, candidates must obtain a JAMB Directly entrance form from JAMB.
4. Candidates must possess one or more of the following certificates: Cambridge, OND, ND, NCE, IJMB ICAN, A level, BSc, HND
