Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University ATBU  is a Federal University of Technology in Bauchi, Nigeria’s northeast. How to Register for ATBU Courses 

To begin your course registration, please consult your departmental handbook for a course guide and to confirm the department’s courses. This covers your electives and the total number of units you must register for. Then, for course registration, follow the instructions below.

1. Go to www.atbu.edu.ng to access the university’s website.

2. Select “My Dashboard” from the drop-down menu on the right side of the page.

3. Use your username and password to log in.

4. Go to the registration screen for the course.

5. To see the approved courses, go to the departmental page.

6. Before submitting, click on each course and double-check that you did everything correctly.

7. Print the acknowledgement slip, which serves as proof of course enrollment.

Admissions Requirements for ATBU

For both UTME and Direct Entry candidates, the following are the general entry requirements allowed for admission into first-degree courses:

1. UTME/Direct Entry Registration candidates that selected Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University as their preferred university

2. Candidates for the UTME examination must have a minimum score of 180 on the JAMB examination.

3. Candidates who have got a minimum of (5) credit passes in relevant courses (including English Language and Mathematics) at GCE O’Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO, or allowed equivalents in not over two sittings.

4. The Direct Candidate must have the following qualifications: A minimum of five (5) subject combinations must be passed in not over two sittings, with at least two at the principal or advanced level of the G.C.E. and the remaining subjects at the credit level of the SSC/GCE O/Level; no subject may be counted at both the Ordinary and Advanced Levels.

5. Credit in Mathematics is required for all Science-Based Courses for both UTME and Direct Entry candidates.

6. Those who did not choose Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University as their first choice. If you registered for the UTME/DE and want to study at a university,

Interested applicants who did not select Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University during the UTME/DE Registration process but wish to study there should do so via the JAMB website.

Also, a candidate must be at least 16 years old to be considered.

ATBU Departmental Cut off Mark

The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University does not really have a specific cut off mark for courses. However, candidates who have scored a minimum of 200 in the UTME examination are eligible to apply for admission into any of their choice courses.
