Lens Polytechnic Admission Requirements

Admission requirements into the Lens Polytechnic Undergraduate ND Programs are based on UTME.

UTME candidates must achieve the following standards in order to be admitted to LENSPOLY in 2022. Here are the entry requirements:

1. Candidates must be at least 16 years old.

2. Candidates must have a minimum of six credit passes in their O’level results (s). The subject combination must include English Language, Mathematics, and three other topics relevant to their program. A candidate who wishes to study law, for example, must have a “C” in English Language, Mathematics, Government/History, Economics, and English Literature.

3. Candidates must have a minimum cut-off mark of 120 on the JAMB UTME examination.

4. Candidates must take the LENSPOLY post-UTME screening examination and perform very well in it (Depending on the study)

5. For admission to the Lens Polytechnic LENSPOLY, just ONE sitting result is accepted.

6. Candidates must select the appropriate subject mix for their courses.

7. In order to secure admission, students must achieve the required cutoff marks for their courses.

8. Finally, candidates must meet the required cutoff marks for their courses to gain admission into the polytechnic.

Lens Polytechnic HND Admission Requirements

Candidates must meet the following basic requirements for an applicant to be considered for admission to the institution at the HND level:

1. A potential Higher National Diploma candidate must have a National Diploma credit (CGPA) of at least 2.50 in the relevant ND Program.

2. A National Diploma in the same programme with at least a lower credit pass in the programme of study and at least one year of post-ND relevant industry training experience is required for entrance to the Higher National Diploma Programme.

3. A candidate must also meet the entrance requirements for the ND programme besides the foregoing. With IJMB JUPEB.

4. Candidates with a passing grade and a minimum of two years post-qualification experience in the selected sector may be considered for admission under exceptional circumstances.

5. Must have at least twelve (12) months of supervised industry experience and five credit passes in appropriate O-Level subjects in only two sittings.

6. A transcript is necessary for admission to all HND programmes at the university, including prospective students from other institutions.
