Admission is open to all, irrespective of race, tribe, religion, sex or political leanings. For the take-off of the new university, candidates are to be admitted strictly to the 100-Level through Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry.
Here are the requirements for admission into 100-Level through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME):
1. Candidates must be at least 16 years old.
2. Candidates must have a minimum of six credit passes in their secondary school certificate examination. The subject combination must include English Language, Mathematics, and three other equivalents in relevant subjects of their program. A candidate who wishes to study law, for example, must have a “C” in English Language, Mathematics, Government/History, Economics, and English Literature.
3. Candidates must have a minimum cut off mark of 180 on the JAMB UTME examination.
4. Candidates must take the LASUSTECH post-UTME screening examination and perform very well in it (Depending on the study)
5. For admission to the Lagos State University of Science and Technology LASUSTECH, just ONE sitting result is accepted.
